For those that no longer drive, we provide transportation to doctors and shopping at HEB and Wal Mart as well as miscellaneous trips in the Boerne vicinity.
We have four full time staff members and three part time employees. Housekeeping and laundry services are provided every week. We do not do ironing.
Residents are allowed to own pets. (Small ones, no larger than 30 lbs.
Based on the needs of the individual, a nurse from home health care provides health checks at A Long Stay.
If a resident needs assistance with daily care, he or she may obtain in home health care from a service company of their choice. This is paid for by the resident or Medicare.
Three delicious home cooked meals are served in the main house dining room around a large dining table. There is a lot of lively discussion and storytelling at meal time. Just like home!
When residents are not feeling well or there is inclement weather, meals are delivered to their apartments.
